EVENT DESCRIPTION
A strong CV is a central pillar for any academic job promotion case, yet the best practices for an effective CV are rarely taught. This hands-on workshop addresses this gap, unpacking what makes a CV successful in a promotion case: the organization, key elements, framing, and gaps that can weaken an otherwise strong record. The session is open to all attendees. Those who want personalized feedback may apply in advance to submit their CV for small group review with senior faculty, and should be comfortable sharing their materials in that setting.

To be eligible for Building a Case for Academic Job Promotion, you must be one of the following:
Faculty Member (Instructor)
Faculty Member (Assistant Professor)
Faculty Member (Associate Professor)
Faculty Member (Full Professor)
PhD Researcher (University-based)
PhD Researcher (Non-academic)
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
To have your CV reviewed for this session, you must complete the online application by November 6, 2026. Your application will be reviewed by the UAA Executive Office, and you will receive a review decision by November 9, 2026 via email.
